We ended the season 2007 by puting the Wok at the exibition Streetcars fest in Sollentuna some 10km from our garage. Our truck had a major brake failure so we towed it to the exibition.
What will happen during 2008 then?
What are our plans?
To begin with, we are installing a set of Darton dry sleeves from Japtuning.se
On top of that we also got a set of kick ass 1/2" head studs and a set of Clevite bearings from Japtuning.se
Hot Wok Racing is most thankful for that.
We took a new crank from a spare engine, polished it and left it for rebalance.
Should be back any day now.
Then we had the cluch issue to solve.
2008 we will use a Titanium 8" Pro Stock cluch from the present European champion Jimmy Ålunds Pontiac GTO.
No one can (or will) tell if its going to work, but its definitly worth a try.
Not much can be worse than having one small cluch that slips and one big that snaps anything in the driveline.
At the beginning of 2008 we got a couple of new neighburs in the garage.
One BMW E30 with big turbo engine and one Honda Civic.
The Honda is in its buid up phase with a Darton block in north-south direction,
reversed direction of rotation and behing the engine a Audi S4 gearbox.
It will still be FWD and target is set to be the fastest FWD car in Sweden.
Hopefully it will only be the 2nd fastest... =)
Now we are just working on getting the car ready before the summer is here.
