Zatzy Cup at Tullinge 010707
This time it was almost as a compensation from last time at Tullinge 17/6...
Now the conditions were the opposit to the last time.
At least 27-30 degrees Celsius all day.
Most of the engines failed to run properly because of the heat,
my included.
eventhough most people were well prepared.
Earlier that same week, some changes were made,
As I had difficoulties to read the turbopressure during a serious run,
I mooved the gauge up to the steeringwheel.
As I was ripping out the carpet, I mooved the blackbox to where normal people have their radio.
I tryed to figure out what difference the adjustment-screw on the box would do,
but after trying max and min on it, I put it back to normal (max)
On the wensday before the race I bought the most expensive part to the car...
A fulle pollished Forge Dumpvalve.
It was mounted Thursday night after a whole evening trying to find a cop-free race.
That got to be a looooong night (as usual)
During the night between Thursday and Friday I designated 1 hour to sleep...
Friday evening/night was slightly better than the previous night for a change,
Four whole hours to sleep, before the race this time.
As a reborn person I went to the race at 06:00
One of the days most enjoying races were when I outran the Honda Prelude in mint condition
He got a bit sad, but at least he had traction...
As a comfort, I wasn't the only one working like an idiot before the race...
Elvis for example, changed clutch AND turbocharger a couple of days before the race,
since those parts went to Cherry-heaven on his way home from Oslo the prior weekend.
He got pretty good action in his parts, since he outran me easily...

Another guy that realy did something extra prior the race was the guy with the green Opel Corsa...
He rolled with his car just a couple of weeks earlier,
He tried to sell the engine and driveshafts...
...but instead of selling, he got hold of a whole new body!
12 Hours later the green Corsa wasn't green anymore...
...nowdays the green Corsa is red!
That car also went freakingly well!
This is where he's kicking out the red Fiat Uno out of the cup...
I drove 14,83 as best time for the day,
wich is new record for me.

Next Zatzy Cup will be 18/8, but untill then there's Bilsport Action meet at Mantorp!
