This is the story about the fantastic scoop
It all began at Emmaboda and Bilsport's "a day at the dragstrip"
I didn't mind at all to drive with a big hole in my hood.
It gave optimum airflow thrue the intercooler, and it also looked quite raw...

Unfortunaly a fairly exited old man didn't share my idea about that
Since it was the magazine Bilsport that arranged the event,
and was only open for cars that had passed the Swedish MOT
he claimed my car wouldn't pass the MOT looking like that.
Basicly, he didn't want to see my car at the strip that day.

After arguing with the guy,
and after letting some high ranked people tell him some words of truth
he finally let me participate at that event,
but if I showed up like that on their next event, nothing would change his mind.

It was quite clear that without anything protecting the intercooler,
it would get hard to continue the season...
After lots of searching without any luck at the local Bauhaus Homestore,
I suddenly found a wornout satelitedish in a pile of crap!
Perfect!

Verry stiff net in those dishes, I must say,
but after a couple of minuits with the anglegrinder,
I realized a weaker material wouldn't hav done the job.

Here I'm modifying the scoop a bit...

Basicly I just cleaned up the edges of the hood,
so that the airflow resistance would be as little as possible.
Then i simply painted it so that it woult look proffessional and neat.

Unfortunaly there's not so many pictures in this part,
due to lack of digital camera.
However thats gona change once I "borrow" one from a friend...
