This is a Nissan Cherry Turbo from 1984.
The car isn't designated for any special quest, apart from being a darn nice Cherry.
The engine is practicly untuoched, but it runs verry well as it is,
The car has 140.000 km on the meter, but the engine has about 100.000 km.
Normaly the car has 115 BHP, unless the red lever is switched on...
...that lever gives aboout 140 BHP and 223 Nm. -Neat!
Topspeed is about 210-220 Km/h. Even thoe the car has
a quite well built audiosystem, it doesn't weight more than 885 kg.
Herbert bought the car from his brother for 2000 Shillings,
and at that time, the car was in verry bad shape.
Many hours later, and after replacing most of the tinewares
and repairing the rust around the car, he painted the car in blackmetalic.
The car is lowered about 35 mm, the original 13"-wheels are replaced
with 15" aloy dito's. They are fitted with tyredimensions 195/45/15 from Michelin.
The rear windows are tinted, and the steeringwheel is replaced
with a 35 cm leather wheel. Gearknobb, handbrake and pedals are nowdays in aloy,
a completely new console in the middle is built for some extra meters.
The scoop on the hood comes from a Mitsubishi Pajero.
The deep frontspoiler is made by Herbert, just as the exhaust-system...
