Yeah-yeah, I have heard about people talking about 300 bhp next season, but Rainer had 250 bhp in his Cherry in October 1998. To have a Cherry with 250 bhp back in 1998 was, and will probably never be like a walk in the park... Pistons melted and turbochargers blew up, all the time. It was an eternal quest to make the car and engine running. After a couple of years with the cars resting in a garage, Rainer got to see an article in the magazine "Bilsport" number 12-2001. He saw the article where we were making wooked noodles in the lineup-cue. Read the article here (Swedish magazine) That made Rainer think one extra time about what his Cherrys were doing in the garage... We were all hoping to see his Cherry on the races during 2002, but Reiner and his brother got hold of a Nissan 200 instead. Nowdays I'm the owner of his Cherry, and I will race it as much as I have time for. |
