About: Elvis is the guy that kept outrunning the Wok during all 2001.
No one knows exactly why, or what made his car go faster,
but faster it went. Thats a fact.
He bought his Cherry early spring 2001,
and after trying to compete in caraudio-performance once,
he decided that the Cherry was built to race and nothing else.
Not completely true thoe, since he used the car everyday to get to work.
Elvis Cherry was from 1984, and had the slightly lighter gray/ silver colour.
The modifications he did as far as I know was:
Cranked up turbo pressure 1,1-1,6 bar adjustable with buttons on the steeringweel,
Garrett T25 turbocharger, Volvo 940 Intercooler, Higher feul pressure,
Larger air-flowmeter, Rebuilt intake, modified cylinderhead,
a cheap but well working dump valve,
KN-filter, 2,5-3" exhaust-system, Removed interior and so on...
Some roadkills so far: Toyota Getaway in Stockholm Supra -94 (aprox 5-600 bhp)
Porch 911 Turbo, Ford Sierra Cosworth 4X4...
Tyres: Yokahama Advan 032R, 175/60 R13.
Best time on 1/4 mile (402 meters): 13,64 seconds
In late summer 2002 Elvis sold the car to a friend that sold it on to another friend short afterwords.
In spring 2003 the second friend in the chain chrashed the car real bad,
and thereby the story ends for the silver beast.
Bjorn325 has now the shell in his posession to figure out what made it go so fast back in 2001...
Elvis has now bought himself a NEW Cherry.
This time its a gray 85 and he tells me -honestly- that hes just gona have it for transportating his ass,
but the truth is that he has already run it with 100 hk NOS,
and on the other hand. Elvis uses his cars in a different manner than most others... =)
