Mediamarkt Sundsvall offered us to have the Wok in their exibition area at Sundsvalls Motorshow 21-22 march.
The exibition had 16000 visitors during two days and we really fealt we were part of the success.
We were slightly down after blowing our engine in the dyno only one week earlier,
but hey, thats life. We had pretty much to do with the car to make it worthy a motorshow.
We got a new set of Greg Weld Dragstar wheels almost a month earlier but I didnt place an order for tyres because of finacial matters.
As the time rushed on there was no time to get the money, so I just ordered the tyres and hoped for the best.
I got the tyres on tusday before the exibition. A friend loaned me money so I could collect them.
With complete wheels in hand I had to change bolt pattern on the car in a rush.
Build something that would apear as a complete functioning engine, clean the cars interior (read repaint)
Obviously there were no sleep the last night before the show.
Nalle went home to sleep at midnight so he could drive the 400km to Sundsvall.
Since there was very much work in to the last minute there was not much photographing,
but as you can see we made it, and we made it well.
As we rolled the car into the exibition friday afternoon, peoples reaction was overwelming.
It was almost as it fealt like too much, 'cos we still had to swich tyres and put on the sponsor stickers.
The stickers arrived to the garage just before Nalle went home some 18hours earlier.
As the exibition opened at saturday morning Me and Nalle had som idea of that we probably were going to have a relaxing weekend...
...but people wanted to ask us about the car all the time. It was like people didnt care we were in Mediamarkts area,
they just wanted to see the car and talk to us and give their best of luck.
Really cool!
The last hours of any exibition usually offers a chanse to walk around an see the the exibition,
and so we did. As we were wondering around there were hardly any people anyware,
so we thought we might just go and get our jackets and get home...
....but oh, so wrong. The exibition were empty of people exept by our car.
It was like everyone in the whole place were standing by the Wok wondering where we were.
Tired and exhausted we went back to Stockholm after the exibition had closed.
Naturally we met a snowstorm on our way back, so the car looked like an igloo when we came home.
Hot Wok Racing thank Johan Andersson at Mediamarkt Sundsvall
for an unforgettable weekend in Sundsvall.
Gosh, we got to do this again!
