For season 2009 we decided to swich to E85 instead of VP Racefuel CSP.
Not that it didnt do the job alright, but in Sweden it is both very expensive
and also quite hard to get hold of. E85 is available 24/7 at a verry reasonable price.
To get the most out of the new fuel we decided to take the engine to the dyno at DTE Racings.

Nalle, my teammember outside the DTE Garage.
Me and Nalle went to DTE Friday the 13th of march.
Stopped by Jocke at VM Performance on our way to shop summer-mixture of E85.
Wintertime the E85 at the petrolstations actually is E75 or even E70.
That is due to our cold climate.
We set the engine up in the dyno on friday afternoon.
Saturday morning Elmer came along and we all checked the installation before we started up.
Saturdays dynoing was spent adjusting low and mid power.
Had some slight problems with boost not being stable, and also missfiring at higher revs.
The Boost issue was solved by installing a simple boostvalve and let the Autronic adjust the boost.
The missfiring was solved by changing sparkplugs from our previously so well working Champion C-57
to a set of Autolite AR3910.
As you can see the forth Autolite has seen better days...
...but that was nothing compared to how the head did.
Last pull on saturday evening looked close to perfect.
864bhp at 200rpm earlier and with less boost than we got that power when we finaly got 915bhp back in 2006.
All we had to do on sunday was to fintune the fuel map, increase some boost and add som rpm.
Too bad we only got 810bhp sunday morning with the same settings.
Im always talking corrected power so the weather didnt matter.
We searhed for what could be wrong, but no fault were to be found.
We decided to go ahead with the finetuning, but in the 22nd pull the head blew, literally.
It appears as if a faulty valve started the disaster.
We ran old stock valves and that might just not have ben the best of choices made,
but we are gettign wiser. A new set of 1mm oversize Ferrera valves has now taken place in a new head.
We started up the new engine just a couple of days before season start race,
and we made it there in time too.
Now summer is here and there is no time for dyno. The fuel map was close enough finnished,
so we will optimize in the car at the tracks.
Wach film from the dyno:
The clip is aprox 3 minutes, 34,4Mb and compressed with DivX

It is also available from Youtube in poorer quality,
