Pre 2007.
Why didnt we enter the tracks earlier the season 2007?

If we look back to what happened late autumn 2006.
We had some major problems with a slipping cluch at the last race at Tullinge.
We had bought a used 184mm Sachs cluch that should be able to handle over 1000Nm.
When looking in the lists it was only rated 810Nm but it still should have managed my 887Nm.

Any how it did not manage, so we bought a brand new 200mm Sachs cluch rated 1040Nm for real.
There is no one in the team that doubts that.
We have never had any problems with it slipping.

Infact it has just caused the rest of the drivetrain to colapse...
Late autumn it snapped an inner joint inside the Quaife diff causing it to brake too.

Since the season in Sweden ends in September that was not seen as a big problem.
During the winter we took the engine to the dyno, blew it, repaired it
and then put it back in to the car.
In the mean while we engaged a famous rally cross drivetrain-builder to build what we refered to as the strongest FWD drivetrain you can think of.
Too bad he wasnt interested in doing that at all, and in May we gave up that plan.

We had already got the diff renovated and everything was ready for action,
so we thought maby we were just unlucky when we snapped the joint last time.
We got new joints fitted and tried to do a burnout outside the garage,
but even when starting in water the jounts snapped.
All time high was when we got brand new axles and joints from the local Volvo dealer,
drove a couple of laps around the garage and then snapped off
one CV-joint, one axle at two places and twisted one inner joint at the same time!
The last CV-joint that didnt breake got destroyd threads when we removed it...

I suppose that could count as a reasonable explanation on why we didnt hit the tracks earlier.
Another thing that were updated during off season was the cooling system.
We added a couple of containers to make bleeding and refilling faster.
We also added a cordless barbaque thermometer to the system,
to make it easier for Fille in the team to see the engine temp by just being near the car at the races.
